This session will teach faculty members how residency training programs can benefit from strong resident selection and how to train a resilient resident.

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be able to:
Identify why grit and resilience are needed in creating a strong resident.
Develop a screening and interview process to target residents with career goals complimentary to available program opportunities.
Demonstrate awareness of personal skills and opportunities for improvement and learn to implement styles of conflict management.
