Breaches in infection control can and do happen. Every OMS team member must have current training as improper instrument processing or use of disinfectants and even unsafe injection practices can lead to patient infection transmission or death. Healthcare providers must review, update and fine-tune procedures and protocols to ensure patient safety. This session helps dental workers develop a culture of infection prevention and safety. Examples of infection control dos and don’ts and hands-on demonstrations will provide attendees with action steps and memorable tips. Infection control checklists and charts for the OMS team will be provided.
