Dr. Radhika Chigurupati is an Associate Professor in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery ( OMFS) at Boston University, Boston, MA. She completed her Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training at University of Washington (UW), Seattle and subsequently a fellowship in Pediatric Maxillofacial Surgery at the Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) in Melbourne, Australia. She has practiced and trained OMFS residents at University California San Francisco; University of Maryland and, at Boston University. She is board certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and, she participates as an examiner in the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery.
Dr. Chigurupati specializes in surgical reconstruction of developmental and acquired jaw and facial deformities. Her primary focus in clinical practice is pediatric oral and maxillofacial surgery. Her clinical expertise is surgical management of craniofacial growth disturbances, sleep disordered breathing, tooth eruption disturbances and jaw tumors in children. She works with her colleagues in other medical and dental specialties to provide interdisciplinary care for these children and young Adults.
Dr. Chigurupati also treats a number of adults with sleep disorders/ obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) along with other team members from otolaryngology , neurology and pulmonary medicine and orthodontics at Boston Medical Center. She and her surgery associates consult and provide surgical care for patients maxillofacial injuries,head and neck infections and benign pathology of the jaws and mouth at Boston Medical Center and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
