Dr Reju Joy is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery at University of Connecticut.
Dr Joy obtained his Dental Degree from the Manipal College of Dental Sciences , Mangalore , India and completed his Masters in Oral and maxillofacial surgery from Government Dental College, Calicut, India. He then pursued higher training in the United Kingdom and was employed as a Senior House Officer at the Barts and London NHS Trust and University of Wales Hospital, Cardiff, UK. He completed medical school training from the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom and General Surgery training from Oxford and Severn Deanery. Dr Joy was then employed as a Clinical Fellow in OMFS at the Lancashire teaching hospitals NHS trust, Preston, United Kingdom.
Dr Joy , then continued his training in the United States as Chief resident at the University of Michigan. He was then selected to do a Head and Neck Oncology and Microvascular reconstruction Fellowship at the University of Maryland medical center. Upon completion of his Fellowship, he joined the University of Connecticut as Faculty where he is currently employed. He is a member of the Royal college of Surgeons of Edinburgh by assessment and also a member of Chalmers J Lyons Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
