Dr. Mark A. Green is currently a clinical instructor at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He graduated from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine and completed his oral and maxillofacial residency at the Massachusetts General Hospital, where he obtained his medical degree from Harvard Medical School. He is currently full time faculty in the Plastic and Oral Surgery Department at Boston Children's Hospital. Dr. Green has contributed to multiple book chapters and has several published articles in peer reviewed journals.
Dr. Green’s clinical and research interests include orthognathic surgery, pediatric pathology and trauma, dentoalveolar surgery, anesthesia and dental implants. He works closely with the Cleft and craniofacial team and Vascular Anomalies Center at Boston Children's Hospital. He also helps lead maxillofacial reconstruction efforts for patients with pediatric head and neck pathology at Dana Farber Cancer institute. He is the OMFS residency site director at Boston Children's Hospital for the Massachusetts General Hospital Oral and Maxillofacial surgery program and is director of the Boston Children's Hospital Craniofacial Conference curriculum. He also serves as the co-chair for the Executive Sedation Committee at Boston Children's Hospital. He has many ongoing research interests including outcomes studies for orthogonathic surgery, pediatric maxillofacial pathology and patients with cleft lip and palate.
