Dr. Srinivasa Rama Chandra is an Associate professor, at Oregon Health & Sciences University, Portland, OR. He currently practices full spectrum Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery including Head and Oncology with Microvascular Reconstruction. He has a particular interest in Global Education, Ethics, the History of Surgery, and Vascular Anomalies resulting in various academic activities.
Dr. Srini R. Chandra was formerly at UNMC- Oral Maxillofacial- Head and Neck Surgery and Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He was a head and neck surgeon at the Fred and Pamela Buffett Cancer Center, with expertise in oncology and microvascular reconstruction. He was formerly at the University of Washington, Seattle, and attending surgeon at Harborview Medical Center, University of Washington Medical Center, and Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. He is AOCMF, SORG, an active ATLS faculty, and a US Army Medical Reserve.
Dr. Chandra completed a head & neck oncologic surgery & microvascular fellowship at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Jacksonville. Dr. Chandra holds a post-doctorate diploma from the Royal College of Surgeons of England with extensive training received in various maxillofacial units in the U.S., England, and India. He holds a medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine and a dental degree from Manipal University. He has an interest and practice niche in vascular lesion management, and reconstruction as a tertiary referral. His practice involves high-volume full-spectrum trauma, maxillofacial pathology, nerve surgery, head and Neck oncology, and reconstruction. His expertise is in craniofacial reconstruction, trauma, and head and neck oncology. He has certification of added qualification from both the American and international boards in Head and oncology and microvascular reconstruction.
He has presented at multiple international conferences and operated on head and neck, maxillofacial surgical units, and facial cleft surgery centers in America, Africa, and Asia. He has contributed multiple chapters to books, published articles in journals, and mentored many peers and students through residency. He is a member of many professional associations.
