John Button, BS (he/him/his)

John Button is a third-year dental student and Master of Science in Oral and Population Health (MOPH) candidate at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. John graduated from Tufts University in 2022 with a BS in biochemistry and French.
He is an outspoken advocate for global oral health whose interests include oral and maxillofacial surgery, noma, and population health.

John sits on the advisory committee of the International Noma Network, a global consortium of noma and oral health researchers, where he serves as an oral health ambassador and French translator. John's current research spans dental implantology in the VA hospital system and noma epidemiology. He is also a collaborator and French translator for numerous oral health researchers across the globe.
