David L. Basi, DMD, PhD

Dr. David L. Basi was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He attended the University of Pittsburgh, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering in 1990, followed by his D.M.D. degree in 1994. In 2002, he completed his certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and earned a Ph.D. in Oral Biology from the University of Minnesota. He remained at the University of Minnesota after graduating, serving as a Tenured Associate Professor in the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery for nine years. During this time, he focused on basic science research, investigating the impact of bisphosphonate drugs on oral wound healing. Dr. Basi is also board-certified and is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Minnesota Dental Association, and the American Dental Association.
