Daniel D. Choi, MD, DDS, is a fellowship-trained oral and maxillofacial surgeon who specializes in dentofacial deformities and temporomandibular joint disorders. He received his undergraduate and dental degree from New York University. He then completed his medical school and residency training at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. After residency, Dr. Choi completed a fellowship in temporomandibular joint (TMJ), salivary gland and minimally invasive trauma and orthognathic surgery at Baptist Hospital of Miami.
He then served as assistant professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital/Sidney Kimmel Medical College and was previously the chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Jefferson Health Northeast in Philadelphia, PA.
Dr. Choi serves as assistant director of the TMJ and Minimally Invasive Endoscopic Fellowship program at Mass General. His clinical interests include microsurgical repair of trigeminal nerve injuries, orthognathic surgery and TMJ surgery. His research studies are focused on resident simulation training, nerve injuries and temporomandibular joint disorders.
