Zachary Zeiler, D.MD., E.M.B.A., B.H.Sc is Chief Resident in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery program at the University of Rochester Medical Center. He completed his Bachelor of Health Sciences degree at the University of Calgary and his Doctor of Dental Medicine at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. While in dental school, he enlisted in the Canadian Armed Forces and served as a Dental Officer in the Royal Canadian Dental Corps from 2013-2021. Upon graduation, he was posted to several bases across Canada, and culminated his service with a seven-month deployment in Iraq on OP IMPACT during the height of the COVID pandemic—earning a Canadian Joint Operations Command (CJOC) Commendation upon returning home. During OMFS residency, he completed his EMBA degree through the Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester and graduated with honors and Beta Gamma Sigma membership. His areas of interest are in trauma, orthognathic surgery and reconstruction. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking and is an avid swimmer and surfer.
