Chair & Associate Professor
Nova Southeastern University
Fort Lauderdale, Florida
I started as the Chair and Associate Professor of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Nova Southeastern University (NSU) in 2024. Starting from 2013, I was an Instructor, Assistant, then Associate Professor of Otolaryngology at the Stanford University School of Medicine. During that stretch, my clinical and research focus were on comprehensive upper airway interventions for patients with sleep-disordered breathing. I have published over 100 original works and textbook chapters on topics related to facial skeletal and airway development, maxillofacial surgery, upper airway stimulation, and the update to the original Riley-Powell Stanford protocol. I have been a keynote speaker for the American, Asian, Chinese, and World Sleep Societies from a surgeon's perspective. At NSU, I am dedicated to our residency, which is in transition to a six-year MD program, and to building a sleep-disordered breathing center of excellence.
