Dr. Gregory Ness is in private practice in Columbus, Ohio and is Emeritus Professor-Clinical at the Ohio State University. He received his dental degree from Case Western Reserve University and trained in oral and maxillofacial surgery at University Hospitals of Cleveland, Ohio. After residency he joined the faculty at The Ohio State University, and for the next three decades pursued a full-scope surgical practice while training residents and dental students. In 2005, he moved to Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond where he was also a full-time faculty member, returned to in 2011. He continues to emphasize nonsurgical and surgical therapy for temporomandibular joint disease in his practice. He has served the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery as examiner, Section Co-Chair, and content expert for TMJ disease and orofacial pain. He served on numerous national, regional and local committees and organizations, is a past president of the American Society of Temporomandibular Joint Surgeons and is currently District IV Trustee for the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
