The forum will address the state of research within the specialty, specifically looking at artificial intelligence (AI) in oral and maxillofacial surgery.

Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be able to:
  1. Define and explain fundamental concepts of AI, machine learning and deep learning.
  2. Understand the role of AI algorithms in data analysis and decision-making.
  3. Identify specific applications of AI in oral and maxillofacial surgery such as in orthognathic surgery/implant dentistry, education and head and neck cancer.
  4. Evaluate the potential benefits and limitations of AI technologies in oral and maxillofacial surgery.
