This session will explore what is new in the areas of trauma and temporomandibular joint disorders.

Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be able to:
  1. Discuss the contemporary management of intra-articular temporomandibular joint disorders.
  2. Discuss the current surgical management and outcomes of condyle or head fractures.
  3. Discuss the relationship between substance use disorder and assault related facial trauma in psychiatric disorder.
  4. Compare and contrast maxillofacial trauma and head trauma, following electric scooter, and bicycle accidents.
  5. Discuss the findings and management of post traumatic temporomandibular joint arthritis.
