Condylar trauma continues to be one of the most difficult facial fractures to manage. This course will provide an evidence-based approach to determine the best treatment – open or closed – and point out indications, contraindications, advantages and disadvantages for each approach.

Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be able to:
  1. Discuss treatment of condyle fractures based on current evidence.
  2. Identify the indications and contraindications of open versus closed treatment of condyle fractures.
  3. Determine the advantages and disadvantages of various treatments using contemporary surgical techniques.
