SS08 - Non-Opioid Pain Management Technique for Recovery After Third Molar Surgery

This session will explore using liposomal bupivacaine and platelet-rich fibrin to cut down on complication rates and post-op phone calls and create an opioid-free experience for patient recovery after third molar surgeries.

Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be able to:
  1. Describe an intraoperative protocol to reduce pain in patients undergoing third molar surgery.
  2. Determine an intraoperative protocol to reduce complication rates such as infection and alveolar osteitis.
  3. Develop and present a treatment plan to a patient with a high rate of acceptance.
