John Nathan M.D., D.D.S., M.S. is a Mayo Clinic Scholar within the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Mayo Clinic and Clinical Instructor within the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Michigan. He received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at Columbia University. He then completed medical school and oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He received his Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare from the Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. He is currently completing additional training in sleep medicine and surgery at the University of Michigan. He will then be returning to the Mayo Clinic as a Senior Associate Consultant within the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. His research interests include integrating AI/ML with Electronic Health Record data to improve patient outcomes and improve surgical practice efficiency.
