Dean Seiler brings nearly 25 years of experience across brand marketing, sales, and market access leadership in acute pain, respiratory, cardiovascular, diabetes, specialty diseases, and technology. He currently serves as the Head of Strategic Customer Engagement for the Vertex Pain Business Unit. Prior to this, Dean was the Executive Director of Health Systems Marketing at Boehringer Ingelheim (BI), where he led the development of the Health Systems channel strategy and launched new assets in rare disease, infused therapies, and biologics. Dean also implemented Strategic Account Management (SAM) models and built numerous customer partnerships, driving innovative capabilities, and fostering a dynamic organizational culture.
Dean is passionate about and has extensive leadership experience in building strategic, creating patient-focused engagement strategies, and launching transformational therapies. In addition, Dean led the strategy and launch of a life sciences artificial intelligence (AI) platform for a Silicon Valley-based technology company. His unique cross-industry expertise also extended to his role on the corporate advisory board for the American Heart Association’s Innovation Forum, which helped bridge life sciences and technology.
Dean earned his BA in biology and chemistry from Cornerstone University and completed executive leadership programs at Western Connecticut State University and Duke University. His greatest achievement, however, is meeting his wife Jennifer. They reside in West Michigan with their four children and two dogs, Cooper and Ozzy. Outside of work, Dean is passionate about reading, riding British motorcycles, alpine sports, and travel. On weekends, you’ll often find him cooking for friends and family.
