Stone Surgical Arts
Westlake, Texas
Whatever the oral or facial surgery need, Dr. Mona Stone has her patients well covered. Dr. Stone practices a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery for children and adults, often working with different specialists in the Dallas-Fort Worth area to achieve optimal outcomes for her patients.
"I see patients for a variety of reasons - dentoalveolar surgery, dental implant surgery, wisdom teeth removal, sinus surgery, bone grafts involving the mouth, maxillofacial reconstruction, facial cosmetic surgery and trauma surgery. Many of my patients have suffered some form of dental or facial trauma that must be addressed surgically to rehabilitate their mouth. I work with bariatric surgeons to address sleep apnea, primary care doctors and endocrinologist for weight loss issues, and physical therapists and neurologists for my patients with TMJ disorders. We don't just treat the face and mouth, we focus on the patient as a whole.”
Dr. Stone became interested in facial trauma surgery in college as an engineering major. These are two fields that don’t often cross paths, but during a stint where she job shadowed surgeons who performed facial trauma surgery, Dr. Stone realized she wanted to pursue a career in a field of dentistry that can positively impact lives. She is also frequently sought after for her expertise and experience in facial cosmetic procedures – injectables, fillers, facelifts, eyelid surgery, chin augmentation, and cheek implants amongst them. “No matter what type of procedure or combination of procedures my patients want, we strive for the best outcomes. The staff is very personable, and we accommodate our patients’ needs. Many patients visit our practice for second opinions or from patient referral. A state-of-the-art, modern practice elevates their experience even more,” Dr. Stone says.
Dr. Stone is a public speaker, social media activist, philanthropist, and co-founder of the grassroots organization, Real Heroes Need Masks. She is also an attending surgeon at Baylor Medical Center in Grapevine and in Irving at Methodist Hospital. Outside of practicing dentistry, Dr. Stone enjoys spending time with her two children and is an avid fan of motor sports, particularly Formula 1.
